Day 1

 

Auditions for The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood have been changed. They are now Monday and Tuesday at 12:05- during lunch in the Tubman room. Bring your lunch and bring your scripts that you've checked out if you haven't yet turned them in to Bob. Again, auditions are open to all students, grades 6-12. 

 

Attention, middle schoolers: sign up for African drumming, a fourth quarter elective being offered 6th period even days. The sign up sheet is on the wall outside the purple advisory.
 
All who checked out a script of The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood must return them by tomorrow- Tuesday- morning. Leave them on Bob's desk. 
 
 
 
 

 

All after school activities this week have been cancelled.
 
Driver's Ed Class Cancelled - due to maintaining our community and following guidance the school is receiving we are limiting the number of "guests" in the building. Please contact Adam at Cannon River Driving School directly regarding other options. There is also Kris (an Arcadia parent) at the Northfield Area School of Driving within walking distance of Arcadia. Links below:

Arcadia Reading Contest 

March 13 to April 15



Be the first to read new novels and other titles in Arcadia’s library. There are books for everybody! Middle school, high school, LGBTQ+, historical fiction, contemporary fiction, dystopian fiction, graphic novels, nonfiction...

 

Read for a chance to win! Each participant will receive a prize and will be entered to win the grand prize. Other prizes awarded for most books read and best review. Prizes from local businesses including Dairy Queen, Kwik Trip, Starbucks, Jesse James Lanes, Cannon Valley Cinema, and Content. 

 

  1. Sign up on the sheet in the folder on the bookshelf outside Green Advisory!

  2. Choose a title from the bookshelves outside Green Advisory to read. Sign it out, using the form in the folder on the bookshelf.

  3. After reading the book, write a short review and add it to the folder on the bookshelf.

  4. Read another!

 

Seniors please email your senior picture to Lisa M for the Newspaper and Senior Presentation Night Program. I like to work on emails to the Northfield News and the Presentation Night Program over Spring Break...if you are taking pictures over Spring Break just let me know.   

 
Gertens Spring Fundraiser
 
There are a number of beautiful plant choices available! We are asking each student to attempt to sell ten items, with prizes for the advisory that raises the most money, the top three individual student totals, and the whole school if we achieve 85% participation.    
 
All payments for plants must be turned in with the order forms. Checks can be made out to Arcadia Charter School. Order forms and payments are due 3/17/2020.
 
The plants will be delivered on May 2nd, in time for Mother's Day and Memorial Day!
