Katherine Simon (Parent Representative, Board Chair)

Katie, Paul, and their 2 sons (10th grade and 12th graders at Arcadia) live on their farm in New Prague. Katie is the Food and Feed Safety Division Director at the MN Dept. of Agriculture with 18 years of experience in organizational planning, fiscal controls, strategic planning, and equity and inclusion. She is interested in exploring ways to further support project based learning approaches and other unique learning opportunities that make Arcadia special. Serving on the Board provides an opportunity to give back to the school community that has been welcoming and supportive to her children.
Gabe Meerts (Parent Representative, Vice-Chair)

Gabe Meerts has been a teacher since 2001 at the middle and elementary levels around the US including 8 years at Prairie Creek Community School. Prior to that, he was a research assistant at Yale University studying dyslexia and ADHD. Gabe is currently subbing in Northfield, leads ukulele jams at the Hot Spot, and is one of the founders of the Milltown Mashers.
Tamra Paulson (Teacher Representative, Secretary)

Tamra is in her eighth year as a special education teacher at Arcadia and her fourteenth year of teaching. She lives in Northfield with her husband, Brad. Tamra has 4 grown children and 10 grandchildren, all of whom live relatively close by. She loves to spend as much time as possible with her family. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and relaxing on her front porch or at the lake. Tamra appreciates the small, community-focused school setting of Arcadia and loves to support students to be successful.

Tammy Prichard (Teacher Representative, Treasurer)
Term: August 2024 - July 2027
Tammy is starting her thirteenth year of involvement with Arcadia; she joined the school board in 2009 when her children came to the school, and she started teaching writing in 2013. In addition to teaching high school writing and communication classes at Arcadia, Tammy taught high school writing classes at a home school academy in Minneapolis. Before teaching in the classroom, she homeschooled six of her seven children; she also did a brief stint as a high school advisor at a private school and as a college entrance consultant. When she's not grading papers, she's working/playing in her garden, knitting, or reading/watching mysteries.
Hassel Morrison (Community Representative)

Hassel resides in Northfield with his wife and two kids. Hassel is a member of the Northfield Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Board of Directors. Hassel completed a Bachelors of Science in media studies from Radford University, a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Virginia State University, and a Doctorate in educational leadership, policy, and human development from North Carolina State University. He was recruited to work at St. Olaf College in 2018 and currently works as the Vice President for Student Life.
David Wolff (Parent Representative)

David lives in Northfield with his spouse, Jennifer, a biology professor at Carleton, and their two children (Jack, a Senior at Arcadia, and Nathan, a 2023 Arcadia graduate in his second year at Carleton). David is Store Manager at Content Bookstore where he’s worked since 2015. A strong proponent of life-long learning and liberal arts education, his whole family was attracted to Arcadia's project-based, arts-centric approach. When he's not trying to read most of the books in the store, he's trying to read most of the books at his home. He also enjoys classical music, biking, and is a huge comic book geek.
Heidi Brosseau (Parent Representative)

Heidi and her family live in Northfield Township, where she and her husband Scott raise their free-range children, goats, and chickens. Heidi is certified by the MNLA as a Nursery and Landscape Professional. Her thirty-year career in the Green Industry has grown into her current position as a landscape designer for Knecht’s Nurseries & Landscaping. When she’s not helping people grow plants, you’ll find her at Open Door Preschool, where she helps foster a love for learning in some of Northfield’s youngest scholars. Her personal mission, to play an active role in the educational experience and community of her children, inspires her to volunteer for and support a host of boards, PTO’s, youth organizations, and local events.
Aaron Rothmeyer (Parent Representative)

Aaron is the parent of 3 (soon to be 4) Arcadians and, as such, has been involved with the school since 2016. Having had the opportunity to witness the unique nature of Arcadia’s community, he’s excited to work with the board to drive its success in the coming years. Coming to the board with a technological background, his goal is to inform and guide tech policy and opportunities for students. He currently leads the nascent Arcadia Robotics Club (ARC). Outside of school, he’s a big proponent of the Cannon Valley Makerspace (CVM) and has an affinity for anything with a motor and wheels.
