Arcadia believes in growing students academically as well as socially. We engage students in purposeful, community-building games and activities and orient them to the our expectations and routines.
Like Prairie Creek Community School, Arcadia follows the Developmental Designs Model for Morning Circle and the development of the annual student-created Social Contract.
INDIVIDUALIZATION
Another core aspect of Arcadia’s educational philosophy is that students should guide and tailor their learning to themselves and their interests. In Middle School, advisors are more involved in this process, and as students grow and mature, they begin to take more responsibility for making their learning their own through the mix of classes, projects and expert-collaboration they pursue.
