Announcements
Goal Setting Conferences
Just a reminder to sign up for Goal Setting Conferences!
Students, remember that these conferences are for you to make plans with your advisors to set you up for success this year! You should attend your conference.
Every student has been assigned to a specific advisor (not necessarily by advisory color) to ensure that everyone has a clear point of contact. If you did not receive the link from your child’s advisor, please let me know!
New families, we will offer in-person conferences and tours of the school on Tuesday, just for you! You are not required to have an in-person conference, but we felt it important to offer that. Returning families, if you would like an in-person conference, please talk to your child’s advisor before signing up for an in-person time.
Materials (School Supply) Pick Up and Cost
Most materials (many school supplies, Rocketbooks, and textbooks) have arrived! Each student has an individualized set of materials. They will be available for pickup from 1pm-7pm on Tuesday, 1pm-7pm on Wednesday, and 9am-noon on Thursday.
Please note, the materials pickup is separate from Goal Setting Conferences, just occurring at the same time.
There will be a second distribution of materials in September when we’ve received a few additional items.
The cost of the materials (school supply) pack is $37. We will have an electronic payment option (PayPal) up and running on our website in the next few days! In the meantime, you can also write/send a check or pay in cash. If this will be a hardship for your family, please connect with Laura. If you already qualify for free and reduced lunch, we will cover the cost. If you are a family interested in donating money to help cover the cost of supplies for other students at the school, you are welcome to do so! We can send you a receipt so that it’s tax deductible.
Door/Room Assignments
If your child is signed up for the hybrid model, you will receive a door/room assignment at your Goal Setting Conference.
Health, Emergency, and other Forms and Free/Reduced Lunch
The forms for this year will all be available on our student information system, JMC! For new families, you will receive login information in a separate email. For families who have previously used JMC, your login information is the same. If you have forgotten your password, you can now request a new one through their site.
I will try to send out a video with instructions for filling out all of the various forms before Tuesday!
MS/HS Hybrid Rotation
We will start the year with middle school (MS) students the first week (9/8-9/11). High school (HS) students will start online on 9/8. The MS/HS rotation for first quarter will look like this:
9/8-9/11: MS
9/14-9/18: HS
9/21-9/25: MS
9/28-10/2: HS
10/5-10/9: MS
10/12-10/14 (Fall Break): HS
10/19-10/23: MS
10/26-10/30: HS
11/2-11/6 (End of First Quarter): MS

Communication
Expect a lot of extra communication this week as we make last minute adjustments and try to ensure the best possible experience for our students during this very difficult time! We will try to make them relevant and quick.
