COVID Update
Masks remain optional this week, as our COVID-19 Community Level remains low. The case rate has risen to 80.62/10,000 in the one-week period ending 4/24/2022.
8th Grade Night
8th Grade Night is back! 8th graders, join us on May 3rd from 7:00-8:30pm to learn all about the high school program at Arcadia!
Authorizer Contract and Strategic Planning
Last night the Northfield School Board accepted our application for our next five year contract, commenting that they felt it was a strong application! Dr. Matt Hillmann and I will continue to work on the details of the contract, which will go to the Northfield School Board on May 9th for a first read. Arcadia’s Board would approve the contract at its May 17th meeting (or a special meeting before May 17th if we determine that it requires a first and second read prior to approval). The contract would be finalized with the Northfield School Board May 23rd, and then it goes to the State for final approval.
Thank you to everyone who has helped out with this process!! Thank you to the Board for running and completing the strategic planning process, and their work with the Arcadia Rubric. Thank you to parents Amy Fields, Jo Janssens, and Allison Klement; to Board members Kathleen Schmidt, George Cusack, and Rachel Matney; to middle school students Oliver, Eli, Alina, Ezra, and Kendra; and to high school students Kiara, Gráinne, Willow, Cameron, and Leo for meeting with Dr. Hillmann on the site visit day. Thank you to the wonderful Arcadia Staff for your input, feedback, and support throughout all of these things.

Volunteer Opportunities
Thank you to all of our volunteers! The Chris Koza Residency was amazing–thank you to everyone who participated, and to Mark Ross for capturing it! The Home, Garden, and Consumer Show was a lot of fun–thank you to Lani Almen, Jason Soltis, Aaron Rothmeyer, and Katie Simon for your help with the booth!

MCA Testing
MCA testing this week starts with 8th Grade math. All tests will start at 8:15am in the Tubman classroom and end by 11:00am. (Typically, they will end earlier–most of the tests do not last that long, though they are not timed.) We will offer one test section per day.
