Today Laura Stetler is visiting. Laura is the candidate for Executive Director role to start in July. During her morning visit students and staff will be introduced to Laura and have time to ask a few questions. There are scheduled times for grades 6 through 9 this morning. During lunch high school students are invited to join Laura for a pizza lunch in the Plato Room. There will be brief feedback sheet for students and staff to fill out to provide the search committee your perspective. Please take a couple moments to complete and turn in.
Staff and parents have an opportunity to meet this evening with Laura – 6pm is set aside for staff and 6:45pm is set aside for parents.

Seniors please check the commencement program draft posted in your advisory – I updated with information shared from yesterday. Each senior also received an email with the first draft. Please take a look, as we need to start printing diplomas and making the programs. Also, on Monday and Tuesday please check in with me to get your cap and gown. The cap and tassel are yours to keep – – – the gowns will be returned to me at the end of Commencement on June 7th.   
– – -There will be a Jr. Meeting on Monday May 20th at 8:30am to discuss Senior Project Process.
There will be a Sr. Meeting on Monday May 20th at 9am to discuss Graduation.
– – -Come one, come all, Arcadia is assembling a choir to sing for the Reunion Celebration June 8! ALL ARE WELCOME!  Students, past and present, staff, past and present, parents and friends, present and future. You do not need to need to sing or even be able to sing to participate… lip-syncing is allowed. We are going to have a blast singing classics like Hallelujah, Big Rock Candy Mountain, and a bunch more. You will want to be there. The practices are  Thursdays after school.Thursdays, May 23, May 29, and June 6 right after school, and Saturday June 8 at 3:30. Led by our former Arcadia teacher Todd Thompson in the Great Room – see you there!!- – -Auditions for the Northfield High School 2019-2020 Fall Musical, Little Shop of Horrors, will be held Tuesday, May 21, 3:30-7:00 and Wednesday, May 22, 3:30 to 4:30. Callbacks will also held on Wednesday, May 22, 4:30-6:30. Prepare a song to sing- one verse and chorus of a Broadway song- and come dressed to dance. Do not prepare a monologue- you will read from the script. Sign up for an audition time next week at the Activities desk in the NHS office. 
If you plan to audition, you must come to the auditorium on either Tuesday the 22nd or Wednesday the 23rd from 3:00-3:30 to learn the dance combination you’ll use in your audition.

Our spring grant round begins Monday, May 6th. This year, our focus areas are racial and income inequalities. You can apply for a grant with a minimum of $750 and a maximum of $5,000. Applications are at the Arcadia front desk, in front of room S-109 at Northfield High School and online at

 Arcadia is having a Party!

 It’s true!  We will be celebrating our 15th Anniversary in June!

 If you haven’t heard the news yet on social media (blame Scott) or by word of mouth, here is another attempt to make sure you’re aware that you and your family are invited!  In fact, everyone from alumni, to former staff and students, to anyone who has an Arcadia connection, is welcome to come to celebrate with us Saturday, June 8th from 4:00 to 7:00 at the school.
