Hi parents, Arcadia is looking for garden tools for the green house. We are really in need of hoes and shovels but will gladly accept any other tools you would donate. If you have any tools you would like to donate please drop them off at the front desk.
Wear ORANGE and make a statement…
When asked, share why you decided to support Unity Day. A few ideas include:
• I’m united for kindness, acceptance and inclusion!
• I want to support students experiencing bullying.
• I care about safe and supportive schools and communities.
• Bullying has hurt too many for too long, I am united to make it end.
Make it ORANGE and make it end! What are your true colors when it comes to bullying? If you care about safe and supportive schools and communities make your color ORANGE each Wednesday in October as we prepared for Unity Day. October 25th is Unity Day, that’s the day everyone can come together all across the world – in schools, communities, and online – and send one large ORANGE message of support, hope, and unity to show that we are together against bullying and united for kindness, acceptance and inclusion.
“ORANGE provides a powerful, visually compelling expression of solidarity,” said Paula Goldberg, Executive Director of PACER Center. “When hundreds of individuals in a school or organization wear orange, the vibrant statement becomes a conversation starter, sending the unified message to kids to know that they are not alone.”
We can be a spark that leads to creating a world without bullying…each Wednesday there will be a quote that can lead to an idea, to an action, to a thought that creates unity, acceptance and inclusion. Wear orange each Wednesday in October to support an inclusive, safe and kind community.
