All students going on the social studies field trip today to the History Theatre in St. Paul will meet in the Great Room at 8:30am today. We will discuss the plan for today, behavioral expectations for the field trip, and Matt will pass out a reading for you to complete on the way up to St. Paul.
It’s October, and there’s a spooky, creepy, funky feeling in the air… which must mean it’s almost time for the Middle School Halloween dance! This middle school-only event is on Friday, October 27th from 7pm to 9pm. Tickets are $3 in advance or $5 at the door and are available at the front desk (talk to Kim!). PARENTS! If you’d like to volunteer to help contribute decorations or chaperone for the dance, please email Matt.
Unity Day is on October 25th, in celebrating & honoring Unity, Inclusion, Acceptance…We invite all students to participate an Arcadia poster and/or button making contest. Create/Design an Poster – you choose the size and/or a button (2″ or 3″ size). All entries must be submitted by 3pm on October 18th to be displayed for voting on Monday the 23rd. The top 3 vote getters will be photographed for the Northfield News, the Arcadia Website and will also be posted on the Arcadia Facebook Page. We are also trying to round up supplies to actually make the any top button designs in to “real” button to wear & pass on. The top 3 vote getters in each category (poster/button) will be announced on the afternoon of the 24th. This is an opportunity to spend Unity, Inclusion, Acceptance, Kindness and Hope…As we continue to wear Orange each Wednesday, think about how you can spend kindness, community and unity.
