The Green Bean Advisory Update

We completed our last scheduled day of presentations today.  We had many great presentations on a variety of subjects surrounding our theme of “Journey.”  Hopefully, you experienced a bit of presentation in your home over the last week or so.
Here are some suggested questions to ask your child about presentations:
  • What was the most challenging or hardest part of presenting?
  • What was the most rewarding part of presenting? Or what felt the best about presenting?
  • What part about presenting do you want to improve for your next presentation?
  • What was the best/most interesting/most engaging presentation? What made it the best? Who presented it?

Since we have wrapped up presentations we will begin writing reflection papers this week. In these informal papers, we ask kids to reflect on their quarter as a whole: in projects and classes, with friends and teachers, in and out of school. I’ve attached requirements for these papers to this email.  Reflection Papers are due this Friday, November 6.

Presentation Night is this Friday, November 6 at 6:30pm Come join us in celebrating a quarter of hard work! We expect that all Middle School students will be in attendance. Parents, Grandparents and Community Members are welcome! It is a fabulous opportunity for students to show off their hard work and for students to see what project work looks like in the high school program.
This week is the end of the quarter. Please take a moment to review Engrade with your student.
