*** Middle School Honoring begins at 10am in the Great Room and Lunch is at 11:39 — Dismissal is at 12:45 with bussing at the typical time of 2:40. Those staying for the bus listen for instructions, as there will be prom set-up happening in the Great Room beginning at 12:45.

BUS FORMS:  Forms from Benjamin Bus were sent home with students yesterday.  Please check over the information carefully and return the signed form to Arcadia before June 1.  After that date, you can mail it directly to Benjamin Bus.  Thanks for your help.

Attention Horse May Term Participants — Permission forms and fees were due on Monday!!! Please get them in ASAP! 

A reminder to the “Here’s Northfield” May Term — Get your permission slips and money in by Wednesday, May 16. Contact Tammy Prichard if you have any questions.

Cleaning and transitions…this marks the final week of 4th quarter. All students are asked to clean their lockers/desks and take home their belongings. It is best if students carry bags/backpacks for their belongings during the active May Term season. Friday afternoon we will be setting up for May Term. Monday morning, each student is asked to report directly to their morning/full day May Term:

  • Red Advisory – Recreational Activities
  • Blue Advisory – Horse Boot Camp
  • Purple Advisory – Psychology (morning)/Board Games (afternoon)
  • Green Advisory – Sewing
  • Plato – Here’s Northfield
  • ROR – Hiking

Special notes…

  • May Terms will start promptly at 8:05 with attendance and announcements – there is not the typical advisory time.
  • We have limited amounts of time to enjoy and complete our experiences.
  • Please note that May Term is only 14 days, if students miss days, credit earned will be reduced.

Auditions for the NHS Fall Play, Our Town by Thornton Wilder will be held Wednesday, May 23 and Thursday, May 24, 3:30-6:30 in the NHS auditorium. Callbacks will be held Thursday, May 24. Many roles are available. Auditions are open to students currently in grades 8 through 11. Reading copies of the play and an audition sign-up sheet will be available at the NHS Activities desk in the office as of Wednesday, May 16.

Today’s random recognition goes to Dr. Kay Smith who, if you didn’t know this, has donated her time to teach an AP Calculus class in the high school!  THANK YOU, KAY!!!

Snow Day and Last Day of School Update – because of the Snow Day on March 6th, our last day of school will be June 8th.  We will have a full day of school on June 7th, and a 2 hour early release on June 8th.


April 3 Snow Day announcement – we will now have school on Friday, May 18th to make up for the snow day on Tuesday, April 4th.  We will have a 2 hour early release that day.
