Sarah Wallis is the Visual Art teacher and an advisor in the Purple Advisory. She is serving her second term on Arcadia’s school board and her first as the school’s assessment coordinator. While she currently lives in Minneapolis, Sarah has enjoyed periodic residency in Northfield since attending St. Olaf College. Prior to joining Arcadia in 2010, Sarah worked in the Shakopee, Northfield, and Eden Prairie school districts as well as at the Walker Art Center and COMPAS. Her path to education was inspired by her interest in art and passion for social advocacy. She is currently pursuing a graduate degree at St. Mary’s University. In her free time, Sarah enjoys her own art practice, thrift store shopping, re-arranging her furniture, volunteering, books, and a breadth of podcasts that would make Ira Glass weep.
